Audience

Preparation & Implementation (P&I) training is designed for:

  • Administrators and/or leadership teams interested in exploring and/or preparing to implement Check & Connect®
  • Those assigned to create their site's Check & Connect® implementation plan

Important: This training content is NOT designed for training mentors and should be completed before Mentor Training.

Objectives

  • How to lead C&C implementation with confidence.
  • Administer a systematic and structured intervention that is both data-informed and evidence-based.
  • Make change and increase student engagement by connecting a caring mentor to students at-risk of dropping out.
  • Apply the conceptual framework for moving students toward successful school completion along the continuum of Attend, Engage, and Invest.

Format Options

  • Online Training: Learn at your own pace with flexible, self-guided online modules that fit your busy schedule.
  • In-Person National Trainings: Participate in an open-enrollment training and connect with other learners from around the world.
  • Onsite Training: Bring one of our Implementation Specialist to your site for hands-on, personalized training designed around your team’s needs.

Online Preparation & Implementation Training

The self-paced online version of this training includes:

  • 2.5 hours of on-demand video
  • Exclusive downloadable resources
  • C&C Implementing with Fidelity Manual
  • Participant Guide
  • Certificate of completion

Step 1: Register: Register for the self paced training on the Check & Connect website.

Step 2: Materials: Materials including the Implementing with Fidelity manual and Participant Guide will be shipped to you and arrive within 2-7 business days of registering.

Step 3: Password: Within 3 business days of registering, you will receive and email invitation to create a password to access the training.

Step 4: Learn: Your password to access the training will expire 3 weeks from the date registered.

In-Person National Leadership Training

This National Leadership Training is a one-day, in-person professional development opportunity that provides a comprehensive training to prepare Check & Connect leadership to implement the intervention model.

The in-person training includes:

  • In-person training by Check & Connect® Implementation Specialist
  • One full day of training (6 hours)
  • Access to exclusive resources
  • C&C Implementing with Fidelity Manual
  • Participant Guide
