Have you ever wondered how to build better relationships with your students in a diverse classroom? Tapping into the natural resources that students carry within them daily can help! This session will share research-based strategies and activities to aid in building relationships and promote cognitive engagement to empower all students socially, emotionally, and academically. Participants will be given time to discuss and plan how to implement strategies within their classroom or school.

Christina Krantz is an Educational Consultant at Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative with 7 years of educational experience. Areas of expertise include mental health, building relationships, resiliency, trauma informed care and post-secondary transition for students with disabilities.
Laura Smith is an instructional consultant at Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative with 22 years in the field of education that includes K-5 classroom experience, instructional coaching, as well as consulting and training school districts in Central Kentucky.
