Reavis High School is a suburban high school located in Chicago's southwest suburbs. We serve a diverse population of approximately 1800 students. For at-risk students requiring Tier 2/Tier 3 levels of support, our current mentoring program following the Check and Connect model has improved engagement for struggling students in areas of attendance, behavior, and grades. In our second year of implementation, this presentation will review our school's procedures and strategies for an effective mentoring program, detail success stories, and outline how we secured building wide support to overcome challenges, leading to early success.
